Ceremony of Gratitude: Sunday, November 20

Gratitude is the living heart of Zen practice and of our American tradition of Thanksgiving. Join us in the zendo at Arnold Park or online at 8:30 am (EST) for zazen, to hear personal expressions of gratitude from fellow Sangha members, and to share your own. The ceremony includes a circumambulation of the zendo with a powdered incense offering at the altar. In-person participants are invited to stay afterward to enjoy some special light fare in the dining room. For participants online (Zoom), if you’d like to contribute a written statement of gratitude beforehand, which will be read by one of the speakers during the ceremony, send it to Keith Carpenter.

Bills Viewing Party, November 20

Several Center residents are gathering together this Sunday for the Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns game in the Center’s library, and you’re invited, too! Our friendly host, Jake Langendorfer will provide pizza and chips with salsa. The game starts at 1:00 pm, with a pre-party beginning at 12:15 pm (EST). Also, mark your calendars for Bills vs. Jets on Sunday, December 11th, at 1:00 pm.
