June 1, 2023 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Center’s weekly Zoom group to learn and practice Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is reopening to all interested Sangha members. Meetings will resume on Thursday, March 16, and continue until June 8. We’ll be meeting at a new time — Thursdays* from 1:00 – 2:00 Eastern — with a simple, beginner-friendly curriculum that requires no homework. You don’t have to attend all meetings, although for beginners, its helpful to come to as many as possible. Our one request is that you arrive a few minutes early. Once we have covered NVC basics, other topics we’re considering working with are NVC and the Eight Worldly Winds,** Marshall Rosenberg’s belief that the verb “to be” is particularly violent, and the intersection of NVC and the third division of the Buddha’s Eightfold Noble Path: Right Speech. Request to join the goup here.

It’s a unique opportunity to learn first-hand from seasoned practitioners at one of the country’s largest and oldest Zen centers.
