Please join Uprooting Racism for our forthcoming discussion of Zenju Earthlyn Manuel’s deeply personal, insightful book, The Way of Tenderness: Awakening through Race, Sexuality, and Gender. The free discussion will take place on Zoom on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 7:00-8:30pm Eastern. We ask that for this event, participants read the entire book ahead of time and come prepared to discuss the work as a whole.

Please register for a free “ticket” here to receive the Zoom meeting information in your email inbox.

All are welcome: RZC members and non-members, newcomers to Uprooting Racism events, guests, family, and friends. Feel free to share the event registration link with anyone you think might benefit.

There is a copy of The Way of Tenderness on the New Arrivals shelf in the 5AP 3F library (on the wall, next to the former computer station). The Way of Tenderness is also available for purchase by special order through local indie bookstore Hipocampo Children’s Books (expect approximately 3 weeks’ processing time), online through Bookshop.org, or anywhere else you get your books.
