Ingredients

  • 1 – 2 Tbs olive oil for cooking
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 lb. frozen cut green beans, thawed

Instructions

  1. To thaw green beans, boil a kettle full of water, cover frozen green beans with boiling water, soak a moment, then drain. Repeat, if necessary, to thaw thoroughly.
  2. Sauté thawed green beans in olive oil over medium heat with salt and basil until crisp-tender.

A sesshin favorite that’s usually served with roasted white or sweet potatoes.
