Sunday Morning Sitting, July 2

This Sunday morning we’ll sit for three 30-minute rounds with kinhin in between; there will be no teisho or Dharma talk. As usual, the sitting will be broadcast on Zoom, as well as on the Center’s audio live stream.

Soon after the sitting ends, Zen of Living and Dying will meet on Zoom at 11:30 EDT.

Two New Trustees: Doug Carr and Darin Harris

At its meeting on June 2 and 3, the Center’s Board of Trustees elected Darin Harris to a 3-year term as one of the two trustees who are elected by the Board. Darin has served in a variety of leadership positions at the Madison Zen Center, which has long been an affiliate of the Rochester Zen Center. He has professional experience in areas such as strategic planning, project management, business management, and conflict resolution.

At the Center’s annual meeting on June 25, the Center’s members elected Doug Carr to a 3-year term as one of the three trustees who are elected by the Sangha. Doug has been a member of the Center for more than 20 years. He works as an aerospace engineer and also has experience in project management and property management.
