Summer is here, and the potluck picnic at Chapin Mill, our retreat center outside of Batavia, is coming soon! This year’s picnic is set for Saturday, August 5. Come and enjoy Sangha, great food, games, and 125 acres of woods, ponds, foxes, turtles, and much more. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with members – as well as their families and friends and pets.

Everyone is invited – Sangha, friends, children and dogs! We’ll get underway this year at 11 a.m. with games from the Buddha Bazaar, then lunch will be served from 1:00 to 2:00. Bring a vegetarian main dish or dessert to pass (enough for eight people). The Center will provide sweet corn, fruit, beverages, and ice cream. Bring clothes for volleyball and hiking, if you’d like to do any of those things. Also bring blankets or folding chairs. For impromptu jam sessions, bring musical instruments, if you’d like. If you need a ride or can offer one, contact Trueman Taylor (trueman@rzc.org), and we’ll make it happen. Directions to Chapin Mill are available here.
