• 1 cup of sesame seeds
  • 1 ½ TBS salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix sesame seeds with salt.  Toast mixture on a baking sheet until seeds are golden.  Alternatively, toast in a heavy, dry skillet.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. Grind a little at a time with a mortar and pestle, coffee grinder, or food processor until a coarse, sandy texture.
  5. Do not refrigerate.
