For sittings, given Monroe County’s current infection rate, the Center’s COVID-19 task force recommends that we continue wearing masks while in motion (arriving, departing, and during kinhin), but zazen on our mats can be mask-free if you want. However, you are free to wear a mask at any time.

We’ll be masked for chanting, including when we recite the Verse of the Rakusu and The Four Vows. Chanting services are on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings as well as on Tuesday evenings and just before teisho on Sundays. Remember to bring your mask.

Also, we’ll hold post-sitting tea and conversation outside on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings.

We still require full vaccination, and will continue to use air purification systems in the zendo, the dokusan room, and the dining room.
