Opportunity to Participate in Interfaith Response to Climate Change

An impromptu Sangha conversation took place last Sunday over brunch, following Roshi’s teisho about the implications of climate change and Zen practice “off the mat.” Those who participated expressed interest in learning about and supporting local interfaith community activities on this critical issue. Rochester Area Interfaith Climate Action is sponsoring a solidarity walk and tree planting this Sunday, September 22, at 1 pm.

The walk will begin at the Islamic Center at 727 Westfall Road and continue past McQuaid Jesuit High School, Temple B’rith Kodesh, and other faith organizations. Parking is available at each stop, and participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle. For more information about the event and related interfaith activities, visit RAICA.net.
