No Thursday Dokusan
With Roshi leaving tomorrow (Thursday, September 13) to give sesshin in Madison, the next dokusan will be next Monday, September 17.
Sangha member Gretchen Targee is seeking a new tenant; one of her housemates will be living in October. Her house is located in the Neighborhood of the Arts, very close to the Village Gate Square: 233 Merriman Street. Rent is $600/month, all included (also: Wi-Fi and laundry). The bedroom is furnished, with a roomy closet and a small study.
Flu Clinic, Saturday, September 22
The Center will host its annual flu clinic on Saturday, September 22, from 9:00 to 11:00. It’s a quick and timely way to get your flu shot for this year. There’s information in this flyer, including a list of accepted insurance plans.
Sangha Dinner: New Date Is September 22
We’ve moved the date for the next Sangha dinner back a week. It’s scheduled now for Saturday, September 22. The meal will be served at 6:15, and if you would like to help with preparations, we’ll be getting underway at 5 pm. More details to come next week.
Free Yoga Classes for Veterans
Open Sky Yoga has been working with the Veterans Outreach Center, and they are currently offering free yoga classes for eligible participants on Thursdays (September and October), from 10:30 a.m. to noon, in the Buddha Hall. The Veterans Outreach Center provides comprehensive resources to current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families through direct service, community collaboration, and advocacy.
