Arnold Park Dokusan Tomorrow, Saturday, October 5

Roshi will offer dokusan tomorrow, at 10 am. As usual for the occasional Saturday dokusan, it is intended for people who have trouble getting to the regularly scheduled dokusans during the week.

Duke University Symposium – Schedule Clarification

The public symposium honoring Roshi Philip Kapleau’s teachings and legacy will take place on Saturday, October 12, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Room 249 of the Rubenstein Library. More information, including a list of speakers, is posted on the Duke University website here.

In addition, Rochester Zen Center members attending the symposium are also invited to the following ancillary events:

Friday, October 11, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Rubenstein Library, Room 150: A review of Philip Kapleau’s papers in the Duke Special Collections with Andy Armacost, head of Special Collections

Friday, October 11, 6:00 pm: Dinner at the Thai Café for speakers and guests

Saturday, October 12, 6:00 pm: Dinner at the Rue Cler Persian restaurant for speakers and guests
