Thanksgiving Week

There will be online versions of the two ceremonies at the Center held around Thanksgiving every year. On Sunday, November 22, we’ll have our annual Ceremony of Gratitude, which this year will be mostly limited to the customary open session in which participants are invited to speak individual statements of gratitude, preceded by some Zoomed chanting.

The following Saturday, November 28, will be our annual Taking the Precepts, or Jukai, ceremony, which will have to be similarly pared down.

More details about these two ceremonies will be forthcoming.

Teisho This Sunday

Roshi will give teisho this Sunday (November 15) after all, now that the Ceremony of Gratitude has been scheduled the following Sunday (November 22).

Seeing Through Racism Meeting

There will also be a meeting of the Seeing Through Racism group on Sunday, November 15, at 12:30 PM EST. We will be using the Zen Center’s Zoom account, so it’s the same meeting ID and password we use for sittings and sesshin. If you have questions about how to access the Zoom account, please email Trueman Taylor at trueman@rzc.org. All are welcome to join.
