Redlining Talk This Saturday
The Center’s Seeing-Through-Racism group sends a reminder that Shane Wiegand’s powerful talk on redlining (the refusal of loans or insurance to people living in an area deemed to be a poor financial risk) and segregation in the Rochester area, will take place at 2:00 pm in the Community Room on Saturday, June 1. This presentation is free of charge, and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. However, if you are interested in providing a donation toward Shane’s time, there will be a labeled basket available for your anonymous contribution. If you can’t attend, you can watch a video here, and also look at his slide presentation.
