New Year’s Eve Feedback

At this morning’s staff meeting, people offered feedback about the main change to this year’s New Year’s Eve ceremonies, omitting the noise-making from our circumambulation of the house. Not surprisingly, there were mixed reviews, with some finding it more settled and solemn (in a good way) and others missing the chance to unleash their energy and drive out some “demons.”

If you attended this year after having done so in previous years, please take a moment and send your own feedback to Trueman at trueman@rzc.org.

Community Solar and Composting

Would you like to learn more about solar power for your home, even if you’re not ready to have solar panels installed on your roof? How about upping your game to reduce food waste?

On Sunday, January 19, right after the teisho, a member of the Steering Committee of Rochester Area Interfaith Climate Action (RAICA), Jackie Ebner, has kindly agreed to present to interested Sangha members the programs RAICA has developed for local community solar and composting. This is just one of the resources available through RAICA to help our Sangha actively address climate change locally.
