Sangha Meeting: Climate Emergency

This Sunday, February 23, after teisho, we will hold an exceptional Sangha meeting as the Rochester Zen Center joins a growing number of Sanghas, communities, and nations in declaring a Climate Emergency. At the Sangha meeting, Roshi Bodhin Kjolhede will read the RZC Declaration of Climate Emergency and discuss its importance, Board Chair Chris Pulleyn will speak on behalf of the Center’s Trustees, and Dené Redding will outline proposed next steps in the RZC’s process of addressing the climate emergency. Following this, we’ll all have a chance to ask questions and make comments.

In addition to the Sangha Meeting, there’s our monthly all-day sitting. You’re welcome to come for any block(s) of sitting, including the regular 8:30 to 10:30 slot, which will include teisho. Here’s the schedule:

Lost Keys – and Rupees – in the Lutheran Church Parking Lot

Our friends at the Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word found a set of keys at the end of their parking lot (close to the Center) three weeks ago. There’s a lanyard with four keys and a set of six mini-sized rupee banknotes. If they’re yours, contact Trueman (trueman@rzc.org).
