Finding Your Seat, Saturday, December 15
The last installment of Finding Your Seat this year will be on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to noon. All are welcome, especially beginners who want to continue getting traction with their practice. It’s a very informal, friendly, and practical session where beginners can ask a wide range of questions about practice. And, of course, we’ll do 20 minutes of zazen as well! For next year, we’ll start up again on Saturday, February 2, 2019.
Sangha Dinner, Saturday, December 15
There’s also a Sangha Dinner on Saturday evening. If you want help Devin out with cooking, come by the Center at 4:30 p.m. Dinner proper, will be at 5:45 p.m. Sangha parents and children are always welcome at this gathering. If you can’t make it for the setup, help with cleanup is always appreciated.
Kannon Committee Survey
A Zen Center email last month included an informational blurb about the Kannon Committee, a group of Zen Center volunteers who organize and provide non-medical support for Sangha members going through tough times, such as a medical or other personal crisis.
We’re interested in hearing from all local and out-of-town Sangha members about their past, present, and possibly future involvement in the Kannon Committee. We’re interested in your willingness both to offer and to receive Kannon Committee assistance, so we’ve created a brief survey, accessible through the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RSSGMKW. It should take 3-5 minutes to complete, and all responses will be very helpful as we look at ways to improve and expand Kannon Committee support. Thank you!
