Each year in June or July we hold our annual work retreat in honor of Ralph Chapin. Our objective is to work together with Sangha friends on buildings and grounds – and at the same time intensify our practice and enjoy the beauty of Chapin Mill. Individuals or families who want to camp on the property in their own tents or RV’s are welcome to, and there is plenty of room in the retreat center as well.

We sit a bit more than the regular training schedule, and either private instruction or dokusan are offered each day. Our schedule is set with the bulk of our work in the morning and with most of the afternoon free for unstructured activity – swimming, walking in the woods, visiting with friends, or more sitting in the new zendo.

This year’s work retreat was scrubbed due to the pandemic.  Pictures from previous years are in the Photo Gallery.
