The curved back wall of the Kannon Room can be seen in the middle left portion of the photo.         The building as seen from the hill on October 28th, 2006         A freak October snow storm dumped a foot of heavy, wet snow on Chapin Mill, resulting in our having to take down the remains of one of the beautiful sycamores that are near the Mill House.         Staff and Sangha spent many hours cleaning up the damage from the storm.
