As the workday began, the west end of the building was really taking shape... ...and the east end of the building looked quite finished... ...right up to the beautiful detail-work at the roof-line. However, plenty of work still awaited us at the back of the building!

Volunteers worked in teams to make sure that the shingles went up properly. Advanced students of the shingle Dharma are allowed to use the nail gun. This work day featured local sangha, volunteers from Canada... ...and volunteers from as far away as New Zealand.

Out by the barn, volunteers prepared aluminum for being cut and bent... ...into sections of flashing on our new alumimum bending break machine. As the leaves begin to fall, the building is visible from the farmhouse again. We had spectacular weather on this work day, with temperatures in the 70s!
