     Diamond and oak

Due to changes in the building design, the imposing entrance needed to be cut down to size.  A huge diamond saw was brought in to do the job. The diamond saw cuts steadily through illusion...er...make that through concrete! A closer view of the diamond saw at work. The cut nearly completed....

 

...and, with a mighty heave, we have a more welcoming entrance! The oak floor boards have been delivered.  Before installation they must be stacked and allowed to reach the same humidity as the building Fans are used to aid the process of acclimating the wood to the building After the oak boards sanded and finished they'll be a darker, richer color, but we still can get a tantalizing idea of how the finished floor will look.

 

  Remember July 2000? July 2001...what a long way we've come...
